PROBLEM STATEMENT

Plastic bottles pollute our environment and their production contributes significantly to global warming. 1.5 million liters of oil are needed to produce 50 billion plastic bottles each year. Plastic bottles are usually made from polyethylene terephthalate (PET), which produces greenhouse gases and takes more than 400 years to degrade naturally. A total of three tons of carbon dioxide are produced to produce plastic bottles, which corresponds to 0.12% of total greenhouse gas emissions. Unfortunately, there are currently no signs of a reduction in plastic consumption. On the contrary: one million plastic bottles are bought every minute. Plastic production is expected to double in the next 20 years and quadruple by 2050. In addition, of these immense quantities, around 91% of all bottles worldwide are not recycled. Switzerland recycles more, but its consumption is well above the EU average.

It is therefore time to act.

One way to counteract this negative development is to use reusable stainless steel bottles. By meeting your daily drinking water needs with free, high-quality tap water from our country and using our Impact bottles, you are making a sustainable contribution to protecting our environment.
